Meridian is a city in Ada County that is adjacent to the state capital – Boise. It is the second largest city in the state with a population that’s close to 120,000 people. Nampa also lies on the southwestern side of Meridian.
In recent years, people have been moving into Meridian because of its affordable housing, increasing growth of its job market, and the growing economy. The city also offers locals family friendly activities, numerous parks, restaurants, and a vibrant culture that they can enjoy and explore.
One of the most profitable side hustles you can start in Meridian is selling scrap metal. The strong and diversified economy is favorable to these businesses as there are mining, manufacturing, construction, and other blue-collar sectors in the city.
The city doesn’t have many scrap yards. But the few we found do offer good prices for the materials you take to them. You can also expect the staff to treat you well when doing business with them.
We reviewed scrap yards in the city and several places we would recommend people to go are below.
If you live close to the Treasure Valley Athletic Center, a good place around this area would be PC Recyclers of Idaho on 1260 Watertower Street. They are one of the most recommended places because of their efficient service and reasonable prices.
You can also go to Republic Services on 2130 on Franklin Road or Meridian Transfer Station on 2130 WEST Franklin Road. Both offer good services and prices.
If you want to scrap gold or any other valuables or you may have, we recommend Idaho Pawn & Gold – Meridian on 451 North Main Street and Meridian Coins on 2255 East Van Oker Street.
